Almost 500 people attended Grampians Brushes 2019, held at Hall’s Gap (no relation) in Western Victoria’s Grampians. 21 tutors, of whom I was one, had the task of keeping everyone happy, entertained, enthralled and motivated and we all hope that the participants were happy with what they achieved. Three printmakers were running courses: Bronwyn Rees from Melbourne, Sam Sosnowski and I were there to teach various aspects of printmaking. Highly recommended as a place to do a good 6 day workshop (or maybe a weekend doing one thing, followed by 4 days of something else), the Grampians Brushes has been running for nearly 10 years. They also offer a Textiles option and a Summer School too. I had a great group of 11 artists, 7 of whom I had worked with before on Skopelos, in Braidwood or at earlier Grampians Brushes.
