October Workshop in Braidwood

October 15, 2018 Basil Hall

We have just completed another weekend workshop, this time organised by a group from Albury-Wodonga. I have been down to their studio (called Creative Artspace) to run workshops in previous years. This time around we concentrated on copper plate etching using BIG acrylic hardgound, soft ground and sugar lift to get our images onto the plates. Aquatint and hard slog followed as the images were slowly resolved. Further proofing can continue in Wodonga, so it was important for the artists to make the most of their access to the aquatint box and so on while they were here. Braidwood turned on a coolish weekend, but some great food was had at Paydirt Eatery and Casanovas and we had numerous visitors through the studio as we worked.
